Abstract

“One person never does great things in business; they happen because of team of people” Jobs (2003). The objective of this research paper is to identify the effect of teamwork on employee productivity of Orpic and to identify challenges in collaboration within the Orpic Company. Having a productive environment in the workplace is not easy, but it's not impossible, where employees work together as a team to contribute their diverse skills and talents, to increase organizational performance and productivity. At the workplace, most of the activities and tasks in an organization need more interaction as well as communication between the employees involved to attain organizational goals and objectives. The literature review from various secondary sources like journals and magazines demonstrates that a good team relies upon the ability of the team members to create an efficient, productive environment additionally sharing clear, understandable goals and objectives of the tasks, most importantly respective roles of its members, all of these contribute to organizational growth. Gender diversity is a significant aspect of teamwork, and research has proved that those teams with a higher women representation have a positive influence on organizational performance. The primary data was collected by simple random sampling by the questionnaire method. The sample size was 35. The received data was analyzed using descriptive analysis via google forms and Microsoft Excel. The investigation revealed that the number of men is higher as compared to female employees. The results show that there’s a positive and negative link between teamwork and employee’s performance. The findings indicate that 66% of staff believe that team collaboration creates a positive atmosphere and contributes to productivity, but 34% do not support the teamwork approach. Suggestions and discussions are included.
